Getting ready for work yesterday morning and on checking my tanks before leaving I noticed my temp controller on the 125 was reading 75 with the heater switched on, that tank is set for 78. The element is in the sump, the water in the sump was quite warm, I discovered that somehow the probe had come out of the tank and was reading the room temp. causing the heater to stay on!!! After putting it back in the tank temp was 90.3. This morning temp is back to normal, the Asfur and Queen appear to be ok. Have to wait and see about the frags or if an Ich outbreak is coming. If it's not part your daily maint. check it should be. The immortal words of Tom Hanks talking to Wilson in Castaway, " I don't know why ", or how it happened.
