As many know I set up a temporary tank during my rebuild. I put in a new Gyre and had it running in the 40 breeder for maybe 2-3 months. Once it was set up it wasn't moved. The unit has been dry since and just recently noticed the cord insulation was crack where it entered the pump.
I filled out a support ticket and within 24 hours, I had a reply that CoralVue was sending a new pumphead to replace the unit. Great service all around. I since saw on RC, that a few others have had the same issue, so seems as the wiring used may not be the best when bent and in water for an extended period of time. One person has a voltage leak due to the crack.
