Hey all, been busy fixing up a new house and admiring my dry 120 in the basement. Well, I currently keep poison arrow frogs and have been upgrading their enclosure. Used silicone 1 for back wall scape (4 tubes) and still smell ammonia off gas 1.5 weeks later. How long does this cure/off gas.

Yes I will be back... after basement gets done. I miss the smell of acro!

If you can, increase the humidity ....it speeds curing. If need be, mist the silicone with water. If you can smell it, it's still doing it's thing.

If not mistaken poison arrow frogs are poisonous due to their diet of poison ants which exudes through their skin.
Perhaps you may luck out and develop a species of silicon sealant frogs, which you can then contract out for tank repair (just make sure they don't form a union).
As per you're original question, no idea.

Thanks Paul, Bob and I have had quite a few conversations at meetings. I'll try the misting/ water to speed it up.
