Heater in overflow box?

I just added some baffles to my sump to get rid of some of the micro bubbles and forgot to measure my heater. I was wondering if I could put in the overflow box of a reef ready tank since I can not get it to fit in my sump anymore.

as long as it is submerged there shouldn't be a problem.. I was actually thinking the same thing on my big tank.. just put it below the the lowest level your overflow can go down to so it will stay submerged

I always wondered this as well..... mine has a temp probe that can be placed out of the overflow and still be in the main tank. I can't fit my heater in my fuge and was really getting tires of looking at it and having the stupid suction cups come off.
