Light suspension

Can use this to hold my 2 MARS LED lights over my 4 foot bow front? It only mentions Halide and T5.

I don't see why not. By what I can tell all it does it support the cable for the lights so as long as you have the right cables you should be good.

Only have cables that came with fixtures.

What about this? It seems Hydra is bout 5.5 inches in depth and my fixture is 8.5 inches; was thinking I could just lay the fixtures across top. Good / bad???

That would leave 1.5 inches of over hang on each side. It might cause some shadowing in the lights but I'm not too sure if it would make a difference or not

Couldn't I get a machine shop to cut 8 inch end piece and drill holes through it and use them instead of the ones it comes with? This way it lay inside the rails like its supposed to.
