I'm having a brain fart here. The back left chamber is for the skimmer yet water can't reach it unless it goes through the slots in the overflow chamber. What am I missing here?

More water. It does look like your sump can handle a bit more.
Maybe decrease pump speed?
Once all looks good at minimal level, shut off power to ensure no sump overflow.
I'd also think about extending that downpipe into the sump to prevent splash and salt creep, just make sure you put some kind of airbreak up high to prevent a siphon situation.
I'd probably put my ATO sensor at least 1/2way up the wall of the return pump chamber.
JMHO.
Glad to see it filled! Lemme know when adding corals, got a donation.
