Orange Ricordea

Hi all!

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get Orange ricordea from. I have only seen one piece around here (Animals and Things) it was the size of a pea and they wanted 50 bucks for it. I asked if they threw in the hair algae for free or was it included in that price. I don't think they found the humor in it. ;D

I got a gorgeous orange yuma from NortheastAquatics.com about the size of an oreo (maybe a chips ahoy... mmmmm.... cookies... but I digress). I'll have to dig up a picture of it. It is still flying solo in my tank or I'd frag ya off one! You may have some luck contacting Joe. He had this pink one at the time that was to die for, unfortunately (or maybe fortunately since my tank had a horrible heat spike) it was sold already!

Good luck!

Try www.reeftopia.com I bought a few cleaner packages from them a while back, and they had a few Ricordeas for sale at about $15-$25/pop. I'm sorta looking for rics myself, so I'll keep looking. HTH

suggestion: How about a NJRC group buy from Fraggle Reef. The ric's look good.

I would be interested in a group buy. Unless I have to drive farther then Philly to pick them up!

Are ricordea very rare? It seems that not a lot of place carry them in NJ

There are some that are more rare than others. I'll call them and see what we can do about a group buy... I'll let you know what I learn!

Yes.. Thanks Phyl.. that would definitely be cool.

And what is the difference between Yuma and Florida?

In simplest terms the Yuma have bumps on their mouths, the Florida Rics don't. The Florida Rics seem to be easier to get, but more expensive. The Yumas are (IMO) more attractive and harder to get, but generally not as expensive. Go figure.

These are Florida ricordea and he is in Philly. I know he was willing to do a group buy for the PA people and the price was $10 for a 1 1/2 - 2" single polyp ric.

Is this Ceasar? I've been drooling over his acans for some time now. Ok that sounds funny. Wonder if we can get him to frag up a colony of those for us.

I've got the group buy pricing. He's given me pricing on Rics, Blasos, Rainbow Montis and I'm waiting for pricing on Acans. Once I have that all together I'll let you know! I should be able to post it all up tonight. So start shopping!
