"Paracanthurus Hepatus" (Hippo Tang) Sexing

I've been looking for a way to sex Paracanthurus hepatus but everything says there is no known way to do such. We've had a "pair" of Hippos since they were tiny about the size of a quarter. They are starting to get bigger as no other tangs are with them now and i would like to be able to tell what sex they are or if they are able to change between male/female.. One is visibly larger then the other so far and i am to believe that they are Egg scatterers then layers.
any help would be appreciated.

If i did see them spawn i would be very interested in attempting to catch and rear such eggs with the memberships help and expertise.

From everything I've read, they are very difficult to breed in captivity.

They are egg scatters.
I have a mated pair of purple tangs. I gave up on trying to catch their scattering eggs.
