Problems with overflow

When I started my tank I went along with Glass-Holes 3000 overflow box two years ago. Recently I couldn't get the overflow box to run silently and could hear the water rushing and crashing down to the sump. Can anyone help or make some suggestions on how to slove this noisy problem?

I use a 300 micron filter sock at the bottom of my overflow

The breather tubes in the elbows are clogged.

I use a plastic coated metal rod (garden support) to plunge my tubes every couple months.

That's a great idea as well. I had mangove leaves stuck in my overflow
