I currently have a Coralife 1270 and would like to buy a spare for emergencies. I have my setup in the basement so noise is not an issue. I would like it to be more efficient than the Coralife. Thanks

I'm in the same situation Dbird. I'm going to an exteranl pump as well (from an internal Mag 12). Based on my research I'm going with a Reeflo Dart, mainly because of the watts / gph. They seem to be the most efficient, as well as not being over-pricey.

I'd be interested in hearing everyone's feedback as well. Thanks.
