I was in Petsmart today, and they did have the Master Reef Kit by API. It tests calcium, carbonate hardness, phosphate and nitrate levels. Is this the kind of kit I'd be looking for? Because I still lack the ALK. test. I am going up to Trop. tomorrow to get my new lights, hopefully they have them. (Sundial 4x24) But I guess I'll just get a test kit up there. For corals I understand that I need the ALK, CA, and MAG test kits. I have the other test kit with the rates so I really don't need it again. I didn't want to buy the one at petsmart because I wasnt sure so I wanted to ask first and buy second.

Ryan, unless you already have one, get a pH test, too.
Salifert is great, but SERA is also very good, and about 1/2 the price.
