Removing miracle mud....

I have been running miracle mud for the last 18 months. I have to replace part of it or remove it all. Regardless of what I do I am thinking of taking a little bit out at a time. Just want to get people's experiences with doing this. Doing people really find it helpful? have a bunch of rubble in my refugium with Chaeto.

Thanks

If it were me, and I wanted to remove the mud, I’d do it all in one shot. If you only take out a little, you’ve now disturbed the mud and kicked up some “nasties.” Shut down the sump, suck out all the mud and water, and replace with fresh saltwater. This way no “nasties” end up in your DT.

From what I've heard that stuff can make your tank look like chocolate milk if messed up!!! I would take off line and pull it all at once..
