I was doing every other week wch
And from last week started doing every week now and just see what happens. I’ll probably take my light to bring the intensity up to 90 % as they only 80% now.

I’ll check the soda ash intrusion later

If your dosing manually once every night you are already swinging your alk. You should have no issues going from 6.3 to 8 and then maintaining the 8 going forward. Unfortunately your not going to see the fall out from an alk at 6.3 until a few weeks out.

It’s first time using soda ash. How long should I wait before I test again to see how much up 2 ml bring the alk.?

Id say go with any coral thats been in the hobby for 10+ years. obviously ppl going to recommend Montis and stylos since they are more forgiving then acros but some acros are just as hardy. I would suggest Red planet, tri color valida, Pink lemonade as good beginners corals.

I’m almost set with coral. Not really looking to add any more sps for a bit, I’m more focused now on getting my alk back up and run with it. could make space for a homewrecker or rainbow splice lol for sure in the future.

I feel the corals that have the highest price tag are tenuis that look normal under daylight. I feel the best looking SPS are still pink lemonade, palleta pink tip, and strawberry shortcare, ASD milli, These few look fabulous in any light.
