Decided to go through the tedium of a full monthly tank overhaul today.
Total power down.
5g water change.
Refilled ATO reservoir.
Replaced filter material.
Full scrapedown of glass.
Full clearing of salt creep and general cleaning of all surface component parts.
Corrected some structural probs with rocks shifting.
Placed/replaced a few frags and moved a half dozen to new locations and glued down.
Replaced carbon.
Removed bits of a shedded blood shrimp and sally lightfoot crab.
Scolded the hermits for being murderous SOBs while removing dead snail shells.
Some hair algae starting, hand removed most, installed reactor in tank and began GFO.
Pulled a few pieces of rock and coral and hand scrubbed algae off, then a dip and back in tank.
Full skimmer breakdown and cleaning, as well as full breakdown and cleaning of 2 powerheads.
Trimmed (external) sump overgrowth.
Cleaned external glass and cabinet.
After that gruelling 45 minutes, I cracked a beer.
