The lowest alk level I have seen

After 3 weeks not home the alk level in my 30g has dipped to 4.2 DKH. Everything looks as good as ever. And none of the SPS is dying all have grown bigger. This with the old Ocean Revive LED from Marc and not dosing anything.

I had a friend with massive colonies of octospawn (200 plus heads and 3 or 4 colonies) in a 120g tank. I asked how he maintained the tank and he showed him crumbling expired dried krill and dumping ro water with high tds into the sump. I took his water home and the alk was I believe 3.5 yet still had tons of living coral. He is now in my phone as reef jesus as he performed miracles.

When you get away from the tank the ph usually gets higher and brings more growth that’s why you got better growth and slower drop in alk…
