Thinking of doing a Pico tank

Picked up a Fluval View today(wife showed intrest in hobby so SOLD LOL). It's 3.96 gallons. Was wondering if the 10 white LED's it comes with will be good enought for some simple mushrooms, zoa, and xenias. If not I'm probably just going to do fresh.

I had trouble with keeping a pico stable. Mine is 3g, and I had done fine with a 5g hex before, and I had kept a 1 g nano (in the 1990s) so I thought it would be OK- and it was a NIGHTMARE. That said, the Pico did not have a lid, and my 5g and my 1g both did, and I believe the Fluval does, and my two big problems were evaporation and temp. I had big fluctuations because of the small water volume. I would lean towards freshwater with that size tank, but that is just me.
