The trunk on this toadstool is about 5" long. Can I cut about 2" from the bottom and then re glue it to the rock? The base of the trunk is looking thin and weak. I'd like to cut that out if possible. Or should I leave well enough alone?

You can't glue leathers. You need to get a rock with a skewer or something along those lines. Also if you cut the stalk a new head will most likely grow off the old stalk.

I have glued them in the past. But I found that rubber bands work better.

I cut mine 3" from the bottom. I stuck the big piece in a crevice and the little stalk grew a new head.

How did you get it to re attach. Or did it do so on its own just by being James in the crevice
