I am going to clean my skimmer and pump. Do I use just plain white vinegar or is there some other type I should use. I heard to use a 50/50 solution with water. Anyone know?
I have in first chamber heater and LR rubble, more live rock in second chamber only half way, with filterfloss filling rest of way.Been running a couple years now. I use a mj 900 pump.
I have this skimmer, it has worked great for 3 years and going. I run with water level about half an inch up into neck. You may have to raise pump if it is sitting on bottom of sump. Mine is about 3and half inches from bottom of sump. Good luck.
Hello all, been awhile since I have posted. I have these brown type balls forming all over tank. They start like a brown twig then fill and become ball like. Sorry I do not know how to post pictures. Anyone know what this is and any remedies to rid these. Thank you in advance. Dean
Has anyone tried or used the dual TDS meters.I guess you can check before water goes in to RO/DI and then after. Just curios if anyone has one of these and how well it works?
A 54 gallon corner display with 30 gallon sump in basement.FWE does not harm fish or corals, its the toxins the flatworms make when they die. Although it did kill the mini starfish I had in sump refuge, that was the only loss.
I had flatworms, sixline wrasse did not touch them. I to hate chemicals, but flat worm exit worked for me.I used like the diections said, it killed 95% of them. the last time I used FWE I left in for a week without changing water,Have not seen a flatworm since.Fingers crossed.
