FESS UP !

(1) Don't usually quarantine. I am Setting up Q-tank for an expensive fish I have incoming though.
(2) Bad housekeeping, don't keep after detritus in display or sump
(3) Clean skimmer body every couple weeks at best.
(4) Test every couple of months, except salinity and pH
(5) Don't look at tank every day when busy
(6) Kill Korals Kause of Karelessness  (Let stuff fall on other stuff, etc)
(7) Don't use GFI outlets (nothing in display tank runs on 110VAC anyway)

10 years with reefs. Five years before that with SW fish only. Had my First SW tank in 1975.

This is like the sink or swim theory in here. LOL im still a newb so I try to do everything by the book but I don't think I clean my tools and containers enuff.

don't own a test kit. of any type other than refractometer
haven't done a water change in months.
temp acclimate only.

4 years fresh.
5 years reef.

2 years into the hobby.

stopped checking water parameters

35 years fresh water
6 salt

Wow I am pretty shocked at the "rule" breakers. Maybe I am parnoid.
The whole hands in the tank thing shouldn't be a rule that one I cannot get away from.

if it was not 4 that dam damsel fish always knocking over moving my frags i would not have my arms in the tank as much but at least 3-4 times a day have to fix it

I always have my arms in the tank.
I only test the display tank once a quarter (I do test newly-made up water)
I never quarrantine.
I only temperature acclimate corals.
I don't sweat exact numbers. (is PH 8.275 better than 8.23...).
I do water change every 2 weeks
I don't have anything else on a schedule, I do it when something looks strange.
