Jgraz's march to 200DD

Sorry to hear about the bugs John hope you have gotten rid of them. As for colors I believe you are right besides steady alk and cal numbers I believe lighting and higher nutrient levels are key and what better way to bring up the nutrients then with beautifully colored fish :)

I used to feel that keeping low numbers meant healthy coral and I was dead wrong. Feeding your tank and Nutrient export I believe Are what to strive for. Corals gotta eat!
As for the ridiculous mark up on fish, I don't see any way around this I guess there is a crazy markup set to cover loses I would hate to see how many fish die from collection, storage and transport before they reach our tanks :(

Bugs are gone. They are an easy one to get rid of so worries there.

Yeah I'm going to have to bit the bullet and pic up a few fish. Luckily I'm not the kind that has to have expensive fish. I do want a Regal though so I guess he can finish off the zoas that haven't shrunk down to nothing yet

Pics as promised. With my phone so not the greatest by any stretch. Not that I could do any better with a real camera.

Like I said not the greatest pics.

Well it's been quite some time since I posted here. Not much to say. Finally got around to picking up some fish. Currently sitting in bags awaiting acclimation.

Thx Kevin. Its been a while since I added any fish but all went in with minimal problems. My yellow tang has been flared up since the addition and she stares down the Kole every so often but all other are great. I think the Anthias are gonna be my biggest challenge. I'm not used to feeding that often.

I'm sure they will be fine soon enough. I have seen many tanks with both in them just fine. With the anthias maybe set up an auto feeder to feed a little dry throughout the day. Squamipinnis anthias can be a little finicky at first but once they are eating well you should have no problems. Best of luck with them!

Was a little bored today so I figured I'd try to get some pics. Working with an iPhone sucks and they always come so blue. So today I tried with whites only. These pics are taken with only 2 coral plus bulbs, and these are dead on to what i see with all my lights on. Finally I can get real colors.

Just realized I responded here and r2r...lol. Thought I was in one spot sorry about that. My ice tort isn't pulling yellow tips like that. How high up do you have it.

Its about 7" from the surface in direct light. That said, I didn't start seeing this until I started raising my lights higher. My light is currently sitting at about 16" off the surface.

Thank you Sunny. Good to have you back here. You are really going to like heading back to T5's. One of the best things I've done.
