transformer blew in my town and parts of it lost power...thankfully we weren't included. I've been without clean water too for the past 48 hrs. I still see lines for gasoline...speaking of which odd number, gotta go out and get some.

Phil, I got gas two days ago at the Hess station on Route 9 in Woodbridge....the Hess Corporate headquarters. I don't think I waited five minutes. And the best part, they weren't price gouging.....only 3.19/gallon.

The power company has to de-energize the local grid in order to make other repairs. It would be nice if they let you know though.

Bob

Bob that would be nice!
We have been power on power off like over 100 times since it came back last Thursday.

A transformer just blew up the street from me in Cinnaminson. Luckily for me my side of the tracks didn't go out.

And we have power back in East Brunswick. Just as I was loading my buddy's generator in my explorer my wife called to tell me it was back on...

It would be nice to have any power. I am going on day 10 with no power other than a generator. I can't begin to say the cost of fuel for 10 days. My question to PSE&G executives, since I am non existent on your priority list....why should I pay the same price for delivery as everyone else?!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean is it not like subscribing to off peak usage? Here is an even better idea. Improve your old decaying infrastructure by burying the lines. We will have more extreme weather year after year so this problem is not going away.

Where does one get a Tri-Fuel Carburetor and are they universal for all types of generators?

A google search for your generator and "gas to propane conversion" will find you a number of companies. I also read a number if RV forums as they as a group seem to do these coverts often.

Oh no, Please say it isn't so, My parents just got it back on today and you are only down the road .

My power is flickering like crazy. It has flickered more in the last hour than it did the whole storm last week

Wow! I can understand why many are losing power tonight. I just went out to take out our recycleables and this is looking back up my driveway with cherry trees on the right and some evergreen on the left…..drooped over with heavy wet snow.

Just took a tape and have 4.5 inches of snow on the roof of my van, air temp 34.2, 8 Hours to go the news said. Towns still blacked out, no power. Never seen anything like this before.

Lost power last night at 8:30 (my power was on for 24 hours exactly). It came back on at 6:00 this morning. When the power went out I started my generator and it ran for about a minute and died. Tried to start it numerous times with no luck, I think I have bad gas. Lucky I was able to tap into my neighbors generator. I got up this morning to find the temp on my tank at 87. Started to do water changes to bring temp down. The fish look ok but the corals not so much. This is getting very old, every time I think I'm safe something else happens. Damn you Murphy!!!

Bob, check your oil level. Most generators today have low oil shut-off.
