20170923_193411.jpg 20170923_193537.jpg So my urchin decided to redecorate my tank...by plowing stuff over. In the piC above, you can see where my rusty gorgonian was

Here is my updated tank shot, I now have a huge gap on top

I also placed some mangroves in my display, they are starting to root out

So after emptying out my frag tank, I had a few inverts I had to rehouse inot my main DT. A snail, serpent star, and an emerald crab.

Ive never had emerald crabs in my DT before and this one has made a permanent home inside of my giant leather coral. He leaves for food but goes back in the everyday

Aquaforest Salt...

So today will be the 1st that I'm going to start using Aquaforest Reef Salt. I gotta sweet deal of $40 for a 200gal mix box right before holidays through BRS.

When mixing IORC, my measurements were 1/2 cup per gal to give me about 1.025-1.026. With aquaforest after contacting customer service, the measurement will be about 2.6 cups for a 4gal salt mix.

I measured 2.5 cups of salt mix then added a tad extra and from there I'm going to test and see what it gives me. The batch (as per AF) should be ready in about 15min so from there I'll be doing my weekly water change. Will keep folks posted

So, test the salinity on the fresh AF and I'm glad I did.....the salinity as per their instructions, rang up at a lil over 1.031 on my refractometer!

So I basically added another gal on fresh RO, tested and it was about 1.026. Hopefully the other parameters stay in line but we will see
