A few emerald crabs did the job for me. I keep 4 in a 45g and haven't had a problem since. Also solve my bubble algea problem as well.

I used boiling water and a turker baster to spot treat. It took me 2 applications but it worked like a charm. Cheapest way I can think of .

I'm using a Tunze and have been very pleased with it. It costs a few extra $$ but is in my opinion worth it. You may want to consider a Tunze 9005. It's rated for up to 130g

I recently purchase a Nova T5HO that came with 2 460nm Actinic Blue and 2 Daylight 10,000K SlimPaq high output T5 lamps. These are their stock bulbs. Should I replace with something better?

I failed to mention that I am running a Tunze 9002 skimmer. Wouldn't carbon also become a nitrate factor by trapping detritus?
