I’m currently on my way to the airport to leave for school. I won’t be home until winter break at the earliest.

My parents have been learning how to care for the System for a while now, I’m hoping I prepared them enough. I’ve had my mom cleaning the skimmer and filter socks for a couple weeks now haha.

I’m going to try and get them to create an account on here so they can keep posting pics and such. I’ll definitely stay active on these forums as well though. I just wanted to thank everyone for your generosity ad helpfulness with everything and I hope to be home to make a meeting soon.

PHOTOBOMB!

the tank has for the most part been successful under my parents care and my mom preformed her first water change successfully last weekend. Here are some pics that I’ve been sent recently.

I’m so excited to get to see it in person again over winter break.

As some of you may know, a kalk overdose recently crashed my system.

All livestock was moved into two 32 gallon trash cans with fresh saltwater and losses we're minimal, limited to one fish (my kole Tang) and probably 5 or so corals.

Ive spent over 25 hours in the last 2 days going through every piece of equipment and every system on my tank, cleaning it and preparing to get her running again.

I'm currently just waiting on RODI to be made to fill her up. It takes a while to fill a ~150 gallon system with a 75 gallon per day unit!

Hopefully my next update will be a little happier and have some nicer pictures. IMG_20181216_072149.jpegIMG_20181216_072034.jpegIMG_20181216_072018.jpegIMG_20181216_072013.jpegIMG_20181216_072006.jpeg

Pmmed lears. Thanks.

Got her all filled today as well as added salt and sand. Going to let it sit overnight to clear up then hopefully add fish and coral back tomorrow!

Got all the livestock back into the tank today. Everything is doing suprisingly well.

I brought a clownfish from my nano reefs at school to add and he and my Wyoming white are battling to figure out dominance. I'm afraid they may not work it out, but keeping an eye on them.

Thanks @lears for the algae hookup. Going to be a while until I get the refugium back to where it was, but it's a good start.

Just waiting on water to clear up and settle in now. IMG_20181217_161220.jpeg

Here are some images from about 3-4 days after I set the tank back up. Everything was doing well and seemed to be on the track to recovery.

Unfortunately, I am back in Arizona and am unable to take care of the tank again, so it's in the hands of my parents again now.

Update time!

I'm home for a few days over spring break and am really happy to get to see my tank. It's progressed a lot since December and is doing really well. I'm getting good growth and the best coloration that I've ever seen in this tank!

The new clown didn't get along and I am currently trying to re-home him.
