Oh, I can't go there. If I do, I would come home with them and that awesome Picasso he posted in his thread. I think that may have been one of the nicest I have seen with the white dorsal fin. I will have to check with my LFS' and see if anyone can get a hold of them for me. Thanks Mike

We just bought one when we got ours, Greg was not sure he had a true pair at the time, PM me if you want to tLk price. It is far and away one of the prettiest animals i have ever had in my tank. I loved the harlequins we had in the 5g hex, but they dis not compare to this guy.

True pair as in a bonded pair or just a male and female? Mine didn't have any problem "pairing up" when I added the new one. Within a few minutes they found each other and haven't been more than a few inches apart. Sharing star legs and all. As far as I can tell from some reading, it seems that the Hawaiian and the "normal" one you usually see for sale are the same species. I have seen that more than 1 pair per tank isn't a good idea but I'm wondering if a trio might work. 1 male, 2 females. I will PM you. Thanks for the info!

So, I have been lazy and have not updated this thread in quite some time. . . So here comes the update.
The clowns and anem are doing well, as is the aleviapora. Unfortunately, I am still battling apstatia in a big way. I am using apstatiaX, but I counted at least 15 of them yesterday. I need to come up with a new plan, what I am doing isn't working. I also have mikes new(ish) sps in this tank, as it is functioning as an sps quarantine tank. One of the corals came in with red bugs; but thankfully, that is an easy fix, so interceptor treatment is about to begin. In preparation, I removed all inverts from the tank, which of course means I have algae taking off so trying to keep ahead of that as well. On the up side, one of our chalices that has been brown since February 2009 is FINALLY coloring up again, so that is exciting.
I added a HOB Refugio's this weekend, I am struggling a bit with maintaining my water parameters, it doesn't sound like much, but adding a couple of gallons really can make things easier.

Oh and the harlequin is on vacation in the 12g. Once my treatment is complete, I'll probably put him back into this tank.

Not from any of our three pairs yet unfortunately. We really want all of them to lay eggs and give it a shot.

mine are laying again (still) - but rather than the back wall, they are laying on the back of some LR. I blame the new male - he doesn't realize how nice and smooth the back of the tank is. anyways the problem is that when they lay their eggs now I have no sight of them and no idea when they are hatching. I'm going to try the Tile trick and see if maybe they choose that instead of lay eggs on.

Honestly I have no idea what allowed mine to suddenly get the mojo. Brizjuan sold them to me back in 2009 and i dunno how long they had them but it's been great since.

Hopefully yours will come around soon.

Hey, you might not be too far off with this idea.

When we got the RBTA, the clowns did not go to the anemone. We had to show the clowns pictures of fish in an anemone. So we actually taped one of those electronic picture showing devices to the side of the tank with rotating pictures of clown fish in anemones. Even with that, it took a month or so before the clowns discovered the anemone.

Or another option is a sit-down with Dr. Ruth! Is she still alive?
