Still happy with your Jebao WP 25 or 40?

I'm going to pick one of these up soon. To get this straight, to dial back the flow, all I need is this $10 item on FS: http://www.fish-street.com/12v_to_24v_power_supply_for_jebao_wp-60_wp-40_wp-25_replacement_pump right?

And for my 36" 65 gallon, would it be better to get a 25 or a 40 that would run at reduced power? It seems like some people prefer the wider flow they report getting from the wp-40 as opposed to the 25.

yea you could get one of those. some others, like me, got one off of ebay for around $5.

i have a wp-25 on my 40b that is 36" and i have to dial it back a lot. i think it would be powerful enough for your 65g. remember the wp-40 is a lot bigger i think and may be more of an eyesore in a smaller tank. its up to you though. i also got mine from ebay and they have great customer service and free expedited shipping.

That's a good point about size. I think that makes my decision.

Where on ebay you get your pump? I am slightly concerned about the reliability of the pump and want to make sure I'll be able to get decent customer service if something were to go wrong. That's why I was gonna go with Fish Street since everyone seems to say they're pretty good despite some of the English on their site being incomprehensible, lol.

Especially this bit in the check out screen:

Anybody get what is trying to be conveyed here?

who knows what that means. ive never had much luck communicating with chinese salespeople. i got mine from jebaous on ebay.

i think its cheaper elsewhere so the free expedited shipping is pretty much figured into the cost. they have good customer service though. my feed mode stopped working on one of my controller and i messaged them on ebay and they sent another one out and i had it within a couple days. the old one started working again so now i have two.
also im not sure where you're located but if you're near aquarium specialties research i saw that they have a few you can purchase in the store. not sure about the price though.

Usually I can at least decipher what the intent of the sentence was from broken English, but that one was just baffling, lol.

I'm close to PA, but I'm a bit far north to make that worthwhile when I don't even have the tank set up yet. I think I'll pick everything up from FS since it's coming out to all of $96 with the adjustable power supply. They seem like they've worked with people when they've had issues and if the 2-5 day shipping time is accurate, I should have it by the end of the week.

It is to avoid import taxes. You mark as a gift and it is tax free otherwise 1/5 1/10 etc. is the amount of declared value for item to assign tax. Kind of clever actually.

Looks like my wp25's require cleaning every two months. Even when they are not particularly dirty. Otherwise the flow is reduced significantly. Do ecotech and tunze have this problem as well?

Ecotech manual says to clean monthly. Of course I don’t do that…and usually clean them when I notice flow has been significantly reduced….about every three months or so.
