Anyone???

Also, do you guys think having a total of 5 nassarius Snails and 5 cerith Snails is over kill for this tank? I have 3 of each right now and the ceriths are workhorses.. a little slow but they're doing a pretty good job. As for the nassarius Snails.. I haven't seen em out since I put them in. I can see their "antenna" peeking outta the sand but that's about it

It is a bit much, once the food source runs out....but you can supplement with nori or something

I may just grab a couple more Ceriths.. I haven't been putting food in the tank since there's nothing in there other than the Snails.

As for pods, which ones should I buy? Copepods? Amphipods?

My Torch just suddenly closed up almost completely.. any idea why? Nitrates are at 10ppm. Water is cloudy but I'm assuming that's just the bacteria bloom phase. Snails are still kicking so I'm not sure what happened to it. All within 5mins it just closed up

It could be that time, I'm not sure tho. I've been working a lot the past few days so haven't been able to see it. It looks like it's sorta opening again so I'm really not sure lol

That was my thought as well. Think I should try dipping it? And if so, dip into what?

prior yes but no need at this point....your tank was fairly new when you added em in.....so he could just be still acclimating...torches can be finicky at times.. ..wait it out and maintain a water change regimen for now

They tend to do that. In fact I got home yesterday and my hammer was closed up but nothing in my tank has changed. A snail, crab, etc.. could had gone near it causing it to close up. Give it a day and if it doesn't open up again then I would start looking into causes.

You should always dip new corals before putting in your tank. There many different dips on the market. Personally I use two little fishies or CoralRX

Yeah I'm gonna go to my LFS today actually and see if they carry any dips. It's fully open again and seems to be fine so I'll just monitor and go from there
