Does MAC certification really mean anything?

Last I checked there were 5 or 6 "certified retailers" in the entire country it might even be less than that, I'll double check later.

    Newest Controversy

While I agree that adult brine shrimp don't much nutritional value they can be enriched through feeding and soaking making them much more nutritional. As with any food they should not be a sole diet.

Does MAC certification really mean anything?

From everything I have been reading on reefs.org about MAC no it does not mean much. Although I for one take everything I read on the net with a grain of salt. One of the problems I see with cert is the just because store is certified not all there livestock is. In fact I would bet maybe 20% of...

    Anyone keep reptiles?

Anyone else here keep or are interested in reptiles. Before moving around and medical issues I used to keep and breed a decent amount of reptiles. Have been dying to set up a terrarium with poison dart frog. Used to keep mostly geckos, boas and frogs.

    Any turtle experts?

Its probably an infection in the leg. I would recommend giving him baytril. Its works best to inject but can also be given orally. I have successfully used baytril many times treating infections in reptiles, though never treated turtles. If you would like I could give my vet a call (he...

    Time to re-aquascape...Need some advice

I have had good luck using a combination of putty and 3/4" PVC for larger pieces and plastic coat hangers for smaller pieces. When drilling the rock I use a reg concrete bit and take my time. Depending on the density rock I usually break 1-2 rocks out of 10. Hope that helps.
