Dropped by AO today in Avenel, and he got in a yellow belly, Kenyan regal angelwas eating aggressively a few hours after being in store
if I didn’t have one already I would have grabbed it
Was down at ACC yesterday, fish looked immaculate and the coral runs were filled nicely, especially their SPS selection.
John and crew have the place humming
probably nothing you havnt heard, however I’d like to give a shout out to ACC.
Had an issue with tank, lost some fish, and they went above and beyond. Certainly did not have to what they did, but you can genuinely see they want you to succeed in the hobby.
Super knowledgeable and and best yet...
50 cents on the gallon? Lol I guess I owe the guy who bought my 180 money back, he bought it used for 500, sounds like I should have given to him for 90 dollars. If that were the case it would have been smashed inside a blanket and taken to the scrap yard
How many quarantine tanks are necessary for proper parasite control?
I understand one is needed for fish (whether it's one tank with copper, choroquine phosphate etc) or ttm. But supposed you quarantined them properly, what about incoming coral frags that may be harboring ich cycsts? Or snails?
Was there today, and was really disappointed. It is all too obvious that the majority (not all!) Of the vendors there are either amateurs trying to make some cash out of there house, or cater to the inexperienced, people who will buy without noticing.
The gem tangs on display looked absolutely...
The three times i have gone, twice I left with nothing. Apart from the expensive vendors that come in, it is a lot local stores I generally wouldn't buy from. The time I did come back with frags, upon inspection and dipping then, i ended up throwing them out due to aefw.
Sunny is 100 percent correct. Prazi pro, expensive, and sometimes effective for flukes, is useless against ich.
It will always be in your tank, just not always visible or symptomatic.
Stress does lead it on, but that is nearly impossible to avoid, considering the fish is now living in a 4*2...
