Why can't I keep some corals alive? Acros, Millies, Birdsnest, Monti Caps, Gonis, Galaxea...can't keep them alive. Zoas, Acans, Hammers, Favia...all fine. Light is set correctly with each coral placed under the correct PAR. Water tests are as follows: Calcium - 434 Alk - 9.3 Magnesium - 1270...

Just replacing rock doesn't normally work since the algae is already in the tank. Unless you tossed everything and sterilized the tank, it will most likely come back even with the new rock. I killed off my bryopsis using Flux RX. Worked great. Was gone within 2 weeks. I did two treatments...

Doesn't help you now, but I should hopefully have a good stock in about 6 months. Growing out my aiptasia now.

Reef Flux aka Fluconazole doesn't work on dinos. It will kill bryopsis and GHA, but not dinos.

@ericrodriguez & @nvladik They are thinking possibly Coolia & Chrysophytes. Did you notice the round cells moving at all? They posted a sample video of how Coolia move.
