You can use a new tooth brush to clean the rock.... do not use tap water to rinse. Make a pail of ro/di or salt water, use that to clean the rock, then get a clean garbage can/ or old fish tank fill it with salt water and put the tufa rock in it with a heater, a piece of live rock and power...
I've used it on my 29 gallon and it did work. no problems with hard, soft corals or inverts. It does work best in a canister filer. If you don't have one just make sure it has strong flow through the poutch.
Petsmart doesn't carry Tropic Marin salt your best bet would be Trop on 35 in eatentown, but they are over priced on it. You could also try the place Mike mentioned on rt36 in airport plaza, ( forgot the name) they may order it for you.
Anyone local have a fish trap I can borrow?
I have spent the last week trying to get some fish out of my 46 bow to move to the new 120 with no luck.... I'm really tempted to get the old rod and reel and do some fishing....lol
