Was always into FW fish since I was a kid. I hadn't had a tank running for a few years as I got sidetracked with other hobbies for a few years and had put away our last tank. I went to set up that tank (a 15g hex) about 10 years ago and it looked pretty sad. Scratched up cheap acrylic old thing. So went to petsmart a 25g. Bright it home, set it up, and it had a leak. So... back to the pet store and returned it. Then I decided to go to a specialty fish store and made the mistake of taking my wife. We walked into a LFS and down the main aisle I was looking right and my wife looked left and she said, "look at all the pretty fish over there". End of the FW story.
