I am an Attending Physician, Department of Urology,

Previously, I was Manager of Urology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/The Allen Pavilion and a
Professor of Clinical Urology at Columbia University College of
Physicians and Surgeons. I am a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a board certified urologist.
I am a Magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Columbia College
of Columbia University and an Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School
of Medicine. I did a year of general surgical residency at Johns Hopkins followed by surgery and
urology residency training at Columbia. I then did a
urologic oncology fellowship at Columbia, sponsored by a Ferdinand C.
Valentine Fellowship from the New York Academy of Medicine and a Young Investigator
Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
In this fellowship, I had added training in the diagnosis and operative treatment of urologic cancers such as bladder, prostate,
kidney, penis and testis.
I've won many awards during almost 2 decades in urology, for instance, Young Investigator Award from
the National Kidney Foundation, First Prize Lab Investigation-Valentine Essay Competition New York Academy of Medicine, Honorable
Mention- Valentine Essay Contest New York Academy of Medicine, plus a Pfizer Scholar in Urology
Award (twice). I have performed over 3000 operations including over 1000 radical prostatectomies for prostate cancer, either by the open or robotic strategies.
I participated in many clinical trials for new drugs for urologic disorders and have authored over 150 papers.
I am dedicated to the reasonable, efficient, and compassionate care of patients with urologic disorders.
