I'd avoid mags as they throw off so much heat. When I mix salt in my 32 gallon brute container with a mag 7 it brings the water up to 90 degrees >:( I use Eheim pumps now and am very pleased with their performance.

Go with the grey Brute cans. They come in 20 gal, 32 gal, 44 gal. Also get the dolly - the can twists on and the wheels really come in handy during maintenance and water changes. The Brutes are indeed food grade and don't leach anything back into your rodi. hth.

I have the exact same tank. How do you like the aquamedic light? Any trouble keeping the temps down?

I have the TLF phos reactor with an mj400 running phosban on a 40 breeder. It works great on my zoanthid tank.

I agree you should do a water change and lower time your lights are on. If you don't have a phosphate reactor now would be a good time to add one - it really helped my tank.

I find myself not spending so much on coral as I used to. Money is tighter these days. Don't get me wrong - I still spend, just not as much ;)

i've gotten flatworms and zoa eating nudibranches in as unexpected surprises in trades. You learn the hard way to examine everything you purchase and best to qt them before putting in your display tank.

I had one a while ago that was reef safe but like any fish I guess it'***** or miss :(
