considering redoing my lighting... i want to try 2 hqi retro and some t-5's need to be comparible to 2000 watts of halide and vho... problem is apples and oranges... i have realized that it comes down to lumens not watts... watts just cost more... looking for advice on retroing a powerful 230...

i run carbon constantly. 8lbs. of kents reef carbon a month. 150 gallon tank. carbon attracts microscopic particles like a sponge. does not differentiate between good and bad.
