Looks like the August meeting is still open. I know it's scheduled for South and I'm in Central (Brick)but if no South members can host I'll be happy to.
Thanks John and Phyl for a great meeting!!! Huge turnout, great food and a tasty Margarita too. Cant beleive you only had 4 people at the first meeting you hosted. The club has obviously come a long way.

Hi all. It's been quite a while since I last posted any pics so I thought I'd post my progress. Corals are still quite small but I am seeing some growth (finally) after changing the ballasts that came with my Oddysea bargain basement lights for a Blue wave dual ballast I picked up in the PA...
Hmmm like the screening idea - That way the corals won't be subjected to the full light at all right away. Sounds like the way to go!! Thanks Phyl. I'll turn down the photo period till the weekend when I'll have some time to go buy some screening. Do you think the plastic window screen material...
Well I got the Vortech up and running - very cool piece of equipment! Had to play with it a little to get it the way I wanted but it seems to be doing its job. I can see the changes in the flow by looking at my Frogspawn.

Currently have the Halides on for 8 hours - do you think cutting back to 6 for a week, then to 7 and finally back to 8 will be safe?
Alk is varies between 7.9 and 8.5 Dkh.
