I don’t think it’s an emerald because of the pinchers are black but I could be wrong. the guy that gave me his live stock bought live rock from the ocean he also had a gorilla crab in his tank that he didn’t know of until I broke his tank down let me know what you think I put him in my Hob refugium for now

I think theirs an old saying about if the tips are black time to sack or something like that.
Kinda follows the yellow and black friend of Jack for snakes

There are not that many reef safe crabs in the hobby and the ones mentioned above, goriallas and teddy bear crabs start off small and innocent and then start killing any fish and other inverts in your tank as they grow bigger. Back in the day when 99% of liverock in peoples tank was wild, you would get random crabs as hitch hikers and it became a general rule of thumb that black clawed crabs would kill fish and inverts. I am sure there are exceptions, but very very few so it is best to remove them. I also remember hearing if they have the "hairy" legs they also need to be removed.
