I think the first thing one needs to better control (increase or decrease) magnesium, is a test kit that accurately reflects the correct ppm that one really has in their system. FWIW, RHF recommends not bothering with testing for it. (Anyone want the second version of the magnesium "Checker" test kit real cheap?)
HERE'S A REALLY DUMB ASIDE: If you (correctly) manage to discover that your Mg is way too high, how do you plan to lower it? The Ca in my system is a good 20 ppm too high, but how do I lower it when I'm dosing All-for-Reef, which relies on alkalinity to determine the appropriate daily dosage for A4R?
