Grabbed a ‘Grail’ poster of mine (and some collector trivia)

I used to design film posters during my art career and it started me collecting original ‘one sheets’, which are the posters that actually hang in theaters.

I have quite a few and my original ‘grail’ piece was the pre-release Spider Man. Printing started on Sept 8, 2011. Printing stopped on Sept 11,2001. Why? The Trade Center is in the poster.

We had a flood and I lost a few posters, so insurance would reimburse me up to 1k to replace them.

Managed to find this, dropped the insurance money on it, and had it restored and mounted

(My SUPERGRAIL is a Casablanca, but will never happen, there’s one on auction now (in meh shape) with a start bid of $119,000).

That’s a lot of money!!! I never thought they could be this expensive

That's awesome. The band i tour with does a printed poster for each city. 2 posters on two shows cities. Ive managed to get every single poster ive collected every poster from the 2024 tour and 2025 tour. Wonder if I should add it to my insurance policy since the value of it is definitely more than I paid. Below is one of my favorite sets from last year.
