Tank birthday and I'm a Geezer

This week I received my tax forms from Amazon that tells me how much my two books earned. Not much because they have a limited audience and I wrote my fish book about 15 years ago and my Vietnam experience book a year ago.

Also, when a book sells as a Kindle book, I only get pennies for every page read, and they don't even make pennies anymore.

I can't figure out their website, so I don't know how much each book made and I am in a dilemma because I want to donate all the profits t what I feel is a good cause.

(OK, now don't tell me to donate it to you so you can buy a brand-new quarantine tank with a plethora of useless medications)

There are three places I donate to. MS Research, Wounded Warriors and Tunnels to Towers. I think I will just split it up 3 ways which won't give any of those organizations much but it is what it is. I will post the receipts when I get them, probably in a couple of months. I post the receipts, so people don't think I use it for Prizapro or Rogaine hair growing elixir. :eek2:

I have been on vacation and just returned. I am so happy to read that Dales second procedure was a success! My prayers will continue. Hope you are in good health. Don't get hurt on the ice/snow when you go for your walks.

Just read you hurt your ankle. Have it x-rayed. I broke the top of my foot and walked on it for 4 weeks before I went for an x-ray... I am stubborn. Dr put me in a boot for 8 weeks

Good Morning Diana. Thank you. Dale is better but she is feeling some twinges so I pray it isn't coming back.

My ankle hurts but not much. I bought one of those silly ankle supports and hopefully it will heal itself. I have to walk in the mornings, it's how I keep my weight off. I lost 35 pounds when I moved here 8 years ago and thats how I keep it off. I am the exact weight I was when I got married 52 years ago.

Have a great day

Bad day two days ago. I almost had a fist fight with the building Manager here. It's a long story but he is about 8" taller than me and has about 150 pounds on me and is about 20 years younger.

I rarely lose my temper and this has only happened twice since I got home from Vietnam. The last time, about 25 or 30 years ago, I was working for a foreman on a big construction job in the city. I am also a general foreman, but sometimes we have to work on another guy's job.

We were building a 50-story building, and he called me on the radio to tell me to send down the red dolly with Bob and Frank.

Well, the red dolly was being used as was Bob and Frank, so I sent down the yellow dolly with John and Tom.

He started screaming at me over the radio so loud that I couldn't even understand him.
A little while later I called him on the radio because I didn't know where he was. He said "WHAT DO YOU WANT?"

I said, "I WANT YOU". He said "What For?" I said I will tell you when I get there.

WE were on a higher floor, and I got him against the outside railings of the construction deck, and I gave it to him.

I said " WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR TALKING TO? Im not your Son, I am also a foreman and if you yell at me like that again, I will throw you off the building.

Not in such nice words or so few. He was just looking at me and looking down the 30 or 40 floors below and didn't say a word.

Anyway, This time was just as bad and I came within an inch of throwing his 350 pounds off the 3rd floor railing. But he just called and apologized.

This happened to me in Vietnam in a particularly deadly firefight where we lost about 50 of our guys out of about 175. That day is when I got PTSD and it rarely comes out unless something like this happens like every 30 years or so when someone gets in my face to yell at me for a stupid reason. I am normally a very quiet, reserved guy, unless I am talking about ich or quarantine.

Now, he apologized and everything is good.

I'm looking at my tank and feeling good. Everything looks extremely healthy and is doing what they are supposed to do.

I don't know how many fish I have, but it's too many. Even though I want more, it's hard to find smallish, interesting fish anymore.

All you see is stupid tangs, clownfish, and God Forbid, "Designer Clownfish," which I feel is a ridiculous invention.

Happy Valentines Day. :)

I think my reef is 55 years old today. It could be 56. I need to do some math.

I know it's still luck that my fish don't get any of these silly diseases but in another 48 yeas or so, when it's 100. Maybe it will mean my system works. :eek2:

We went out for Chinese food last night. The place was so crowded we couldn't get in. There was another Chinese/Japanese place across the street that was empty except for one table. So we went in and ate. Now we know why it was empty.

I just picked up a smallish Royal Gramma and a 5" Colt Coral. I can't get a picture of the fish yet because he is in a hole and I can't see him yet. But he should come out today to eat some worms.

I don't know why I got the Colt Coral, as I have them growing wild all over my tank.

I have bought the same coral on purpose more than once. Put one on each side of the tank. Now im trying to remove duplicates

They do multiply all over the place. Mine grew the size of a big grapefruit, then split into 4 or 5 smaller ones that stuck themselves to rocks.
