(I just found out as well that the initial cost is going to be lowered 10 percent per fixture. For me a 24 inch = the custom 8 bulb 24inch t-5 fixture with bulbs. After a year i will have spent as much as the t-5 as i did with the LED and i will still need to buy more bulbs.

check out profilux website I beleive it current can control koralias and tunze, but i would def check to which models.

The only reason why i am considering profilux is because of the light fixture i choose, Aqua Illumination LED fixture. I also use tunze pumps as well so it rid of my tunze controllers too.

not to nit pick here man but that still means it can control vortechs. Maybe not yet but it can.

Looks like were settling in on the Aqua Illuminations LED fixture. the cost and reduced electricity and need to not buy bulbs has got me hooked. I also just found out that these fixture are upgradeable to fit larger tanks. you can add more units.

I just had a brush with profilux controller and WOW. It literally controls everything including my new lights fixture woot woot. Check out the specs it controls koralia pumps tunze and now vortech pumps.

yes on the dimmer and some fixture will actually dim automatically to simulate sunset and sun rise. From what i have read the fading doesnt happen until like 8 - 9 years. Its crazy, anyone with a LED fixture chime in?>

The solution i found was the bubble magus NAC7 cone skimmer. Evo its still to big for its 9 x 8.5 and the JRWholer the octupus is actually too big and alot more expensive. The lighting is what is getting me nervous.
