Love the scape. I'd love to have that kind of space. All that swim space over the rock. It's going to look amazing when it grows out.

Baseball sized colony. Grew this out from frag about the size of a dollar coin. I love this coral but as its grown its become agressive. This thing sends out some serious sweepers and has banged up a few sps recently. My 75 doesn't have the room to accommodate lps that need this much space. 60...

Hello NJReefers - Let's do something new this year

I think its a great idea. Sunny obviously put plenty of effort into working all that up. The biggest issue I see is tracking all of the eligible posts and points. I'm on tapatalk right now so can check but couldn't we utilize the like button. Another way to to determine rotm would be by...

    Marks...Back to the Future..Reef Aquarium

Mark, the other thing I should have mentioned in my pm is I have a bunch of pure ammonia and microbactor 7. I've used this method to cycle tanks. works fine. You can add the ammonia to 4ppm. Add the bacteria and then watch for nitrite and nitrate to start showing up etc.

Some Corals are dying off. Others are growing.

I lost a few lps about a year. I was running biopellets and gfo. I pulled the gfo about 7 months ago and never looked back. My lps are way more happy. My sps have coloured up. I think sometimes we strip to much out of the water. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

Those connections can be a pita. Especially depending on when your house was built. I once lived in a condo that was was a mix of imperial and metric. Nightmare. Any more thoughts on the waste water issue. My wife would love if I could move water production into the garage. The waste water is...

How do you change your water?

Heres mine. I change about 15 gallons every other week on a system holding 100 gallons. I always keep enough rodi on hand to do one water change and can make pretty fast. Rodi is in the laundry area in my kitchen. I have 3 7 gallon containers I use to store water. One also fits under my frag...

    PH dropping overnight

I wouldn't worry to much about ph swings over the 24 he period as long as they are consistent. I have a probe set on my apex but its more there to let me know if my doser were to screw up and dump to much alk into the system. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

Interesting discussion. I would also hope that spidybry chimes in. I have often thought of trying something out like this myself. Mabe ill try in on my frag tank and sees what happens. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
