Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Just took a selfie for you Bob, as your timing is perfect....
Have mine on this afternoon for doing some detailed painting work. Bought mine for modelling but great idea - will use them for frag cutting this weekend, never thought to before.
Bump for Sept 15 numbers.
Looks good.
So, In 30g of water:
1g of Red Sea Reefer at 1.026 (1/2c) will raise Alk by 0.1dKH
1ml of Seachem Reef Fusion 2 will raise Alk by 0.1dKH
1ml of Seachem Prime will decrease NO3 by approximately 1.5ppm
Now to determine if WCs to maintain Alk will cause Ca to...
Funny part is there are people ranting in the comments.
And.... I have to start reading the Beacon more often...

HA! Look at the article!
Genius!
The 'Skipper' is Jonah (Skipper on Gilligans Island's first name)
'Professor Storm Vento and his assistant, Finn Marian' (Professor and Maryann)
'You should have heard the howls as we gingerly moved her up the bay' (Ginger and the Howells)
Love it!
Gotta be a hoax. That photo in the article is badly Photoshopped.
Plus, the logistics and expenses of powering up a battleship must be staggering.
Then being dumb enough to drive it through a shallow canal?
Guessing its a hoax (but I'll still drive by, just in case).
The NJ was being temporarily moved from Camden and got stuck in the Point Pleasant Canal.
She's right next to the bridge on Bridge Ave on the border of Point and Bay Head.
I'll be driving by around 1pm and will let you guys know if its a worthwhile sightseeing stop (and make sure the bridge is...
Current plan is to stop dosing and use WC to maintain Alk.
As of 9pm tonight, Alk is at 9.0 dKH, would like to stabilize it there.
Still need to bring Nitrates down but the Purigen, overskim, decreased food, and daily floss changes should help over the next week or two.
I know 1g of water...
I've got 2 big buckets from the big tank.
And they've been used for a weekly WC in this 30g for a few months, which doesn't explain the low dKH.
I'm guessing that if 1/2c of RSP in 1g of water hits 1.026SG and raises my dKH by .1, I should be able to manage my dKH adjustments by daily checking...
New tank hit a bad place post completion of transfers.
With the loss of two crabs and a Tanakas wrasse, followed by the degeneration of some corals, I actually got off my ass an am doing some reefing.
Figured I would chart progression here, along with my reponses and numbers as I get the tank...
Sorry for falling behind on this thread. I had opened another regarding T5 diffusion and the convo continued there.
Most likely should have kept it to 1 thread but I'm livin life on the edge.

Had 2 Mp40s on my 120. 1/2" glass.
Keep the smallest spacer on it and definitely use the anchors and zipties to prevent a floor hit.
They're known to do a suicide dive every once in a while. Mine would go 1-2x a week.
In researching if biomedia can eventually cause a nitrate spike, I found a website that should be stickied.
Top notch stuff for a starter aquarist or someone needing a refresher.

The bright side of this whole thing is that if you ever join the Washington Reefers Club, and we end up in a reefkeeper war, we'll have an agent on the inside.
Best of lucjk with the move. And, If you're out there and get a call stating 'The goniporia sings at midnight', be ready to act.
