I have a guy came today picked up the hogfish and some corals and had a lively chat for 1 hour. I guess we all need to get together and talk corals!
The club has done grow out contest before we should do that. It's fun. I am happy to donate some palys or zoas frags for this.
It does not like strong flow. It is in a shaded spot now and happy so not sensitive to lights. I personally do not think it's very aggressive as some people would say.
Re-arrange tank and end up with some extras for sale. Pickup in Aberdeen, 07747. Can bring to Livingston if we can work out a time,
1. SOLD - Yellow candy hogfish - got this from brokereefer, too aggressive and my tank (3") just not big enough. Asking what I paid for $30. Currently in my sump...
You can just drill a hole for return. The flow will be minimum so not much noise at all.
The problem is in the drilling. I have drilled many tanks but have failed to drill a 10g. Once I succeeded but the glass cracked when tightening the bulkhead. A standard 20g is much easier if you have the...
I have not siphoned yet. I will give it a few more days and see how it does. At the same time will blow it off as they appear.
No. There is a NO3 surplus. I have been dosing phosphate though at a rate of about 0.04 ppm. This tank is weird. My past tanks always used up nitrate first.
I bought mine from Petco. I think it's about $80 for 50lbs. I have bought them from Amazon before about $1 lb. I liked the Amazon ones better but they're no longer available. I do not want used that with unknown origin as these might have been exposed to copper or other chemicals. For my tank I...
I stirred the sand by hand a few days and it was crusted. In my last tank I had a patch of sand it was left along eventually it got better but definitely not as nice as I have seem in other people's tanks. Stirring is probably not a long term solution and I try to keep my hands out of the tank...
The three Pygmy angels have been rehomed to ACC. They’re in the tank right at the entrance. So nice to be able to see them every time shopping there.
the tank is doing great. However the sand bed looks like crap. I have never been able to keep a nice sand bed. The rocks are good with the right...
congrats. 75 is a nice size. one suggestion, Kreg Pocket Hole Jig, if you don't have it I have one to lend. I have build many stands but never used one until the very last one I build. What a difference on aesthetics and strength.
