Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Just looked at my LetGo app.
Someone in North Arlington just posted what looks like a nice 40? 60? gLlon rimless cube with stand and sump for $250.
If I were closer would check it out myself.
Do a letgo search for ‘aquarium’ and it comes up.
Seriously, I'm really beginning to think that lights are lights. Folks are getting as much growth, it seems, from decent black boxes as they are from higher end brands.
I was running 3 Hydra AI 26HDs over my 120. Things were going well. I added a hybrid T5 fixture for a total of $1000 hanging...
I have a minimag LED flashlight, its pretty focused.
I spend the day walking around the tank illuminating each coral for 20-30 minutes at a time.
Arms are tired and growth sucks, but I have lost 15 pounds.
I've got the 36" fixture over a 48" wide 18" tall tank. I've got 3 AI Hydra 28HDs in it.
Its 12" off surface and the spread of just the T5s covers the sandbed bed nicely with minimal overflow of light.
Ive got sps and montis within a few inches of the tank width and they're growing fine.
If the...
Marcus,
I do have a 20 long and/or a 29 if it helps (standard tanks).
I will let either go for a tap dance while playing a kazoo, which is probably much more complex than it sounds, and I'm sure it would sound terrible.
No, they're pretty chill. You may find clusters of 2-3 in a few places, in an SPS tank with dosing some can grow a bit (like half the diameter of a pencil), but they're by no means a pest in a display like xenia, yellow palys, gsp, etc...
Its a mini feather duster. If you have one you'll have a few soon. Harmless and pretty cool. Sign of a healthy tank.
Vermitads have a similar casing but it's tight to the rock and they don't present a fan, just long silky tendrils (and they usually do this at night or after you disturb the...
SO, back tto the Space 1999 Eagle.
As I am so out of practice with model building, I decided to use the 'new modern' techniques of auto spraypaint, makeup powder, spices (cinnamon does a great rust), and other crazy stuff to forge ahead. I serioiusly love how model building now encourages...
Think that I renewed and no longer have member access.
I dropped Marcus a line.
Thanks for the info and link.
And thanks to Groucho for the tag line I think of whenever I re-up a club or membership.
I thought the meet on Saturday was front and center, I think I recall seeing the post with donations, things people were bringing, etc...
I can't find it, and I sort of need it for an address and such, and to update my donations to the NJRC members and coffers.
Cool stuff. Always loved the Corsairs and will probably pick up one in the future.
Probably loved them so much as I used to watch 'Black Sheep Squadron' when I was younger, a series that depicted the war in the Pacific in a 70's we're all having fun kinda way.
Per tanks, one word... weathering...
So, I picked up a unit from Express Water, on Amazon, for $170.
6 stage filtration - chem filter, sediment, granular carbon, RO, DI, activated carbon.
Unit is nice and labelled for dummies.
Set up, again, labelled for dummies.
Simple instructions.
Size is that of a normal RODI and it takes...
He's a whizz with those Walmart directions. I've seen him put together a Sauder nightstand in only 6 hours. Once he left, I fixed it a bit. But he did an OK job.
Sounds very suspicious. Does she bring you the meds?
Speaking of such - What she's digging?
If it's rectangular and a few feet deep, stop taking the meds and get out of there.
