If everything is still looking good, I don't know how worried about a zero reading. If the nutrients that is being produced by feeding is being used by the corals and sea lettuce, a zero is what you want. Balance is good. I don't think you'd run into any issues unless you reduce bio load on...
Thanks, that’s good info. Does it float? I’m going to add on a new sump, with a section for the refugium. Hearing that changes my plan a little. The new sump is going to be 28x42x29. Maybe I’ll section it off with egg crate, to allow water to flow through the whole section.
It's actually not the best pic of it. I always struggle with my phone to get good pics. If you see the bottom polyps you can see blue at the base of the tentacles, they all have that. It's a darker than pictured also. And the blue/purple dot on the face of the polyp is also on all of them.
@Kovacjr I have been thinking about using sea lettuce once I install a larger sump in the next few weeks(ish). Can you tell us anything about it? Is it really that much of a better grower then chaeto? Is it more hardy as I've heard it described? Really anything you can think about it I'd...
They like stability, this one had done the best for me. I put the frag in the tank, and 1.5 years later I have that. It’s actually getting too big, I’m on the fence about selling or fragging it....
That’s great to hear that there were no effects. The Duncan doesn’t count. They’re super hardy, I’m sure it’ll come back (or I have a spare for you) :)
Even better is the growth, that’s what we all want even when we don’t why it’s happening!
The only guarantee would be not filling with water. :).
I’ve scraped off every.single.one that was visible when adding corals, and I still got em. Thankfully just the small ones, and if one ever irritates a coral it gets mercilessly crushed.
