I finally talked him into a new tank. he's young and just getting started. I warned him about the $$$$$ amounts. thanks for looking and we can close this one down.
I gave a friend my 29 gal. he never had a tank before. so set up with fresh water had it running and was very excited. He called me last night and said it was leaking! does anyone have a 29 or 30 gal. (could be bigger) they want to get rid of?
As much as I love the concept of a seahorse tank I have to say my true love is for the fish. Having a reef tank is great and I would never switch back but I have yet to have a tank of the beautiful fish of the ocean that can't be kept in a reef.
So having said that and not much experience except...
you can take the clam out and scrub it out of water then rinse it it some tank water outside the tank of course and put it back in. however if its attached to something don't dislodge it
I put two of these that looked like they were pairing up into my tank yesterday after acclamation. have not seen them yet. they were about1/2 inch long. is this normal for them to hide out
what would be a too high reading for magnesium? I tested today at 1140 ppm added esv mag. and put too much in. normally it takes alot to bring it up but not this time. it's at 1470 is this a major problem? should I do immediate water change or just let it go back down
