Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
We have one. It isn't like having an OM unit, but it works well. We've had ours for about 6 months and have no complaints with it. It will knock down your pump output a couple hundred GPH though. We're running a 9.5 over a 600gph overflow with no problems.
We currently have 79 active members. That makes quorum 16 votes (the lesser of 20% or 20 members as per the by laws) and therefore all elections currently running have reached quorum. Thanks for doing your part.
Now we can all sit back and watch these nail biting races as they ome down to the...
I'm running out to Champion Lighting tomorrow to pick up my Mag2. They have them for 34$. If you're building a reactor and don't already have a mag2 or similar pump and you'd like me to pick up one for you while I'm out there please let me know. I'm leaving first thing in the AM.

Most are frags, nanas are all WELL encrusted (I had to pry them off of the egg crate). 10$ for most frags.
I don't have one right now either. I'm leaning toward the Mag2 because that's what the players in the thread are using. I'm going to run over to trop to try and pick one up before the weekend. You should be able to pick up a mag 2/3 (same footprint, I think) at just about any pond/fish store...
For those building reactors please bring your recirc pump (Mag2 or other of your choosing). We'll have our pump with us for sizing but it would be best if you had yours with to set the recirc loop with.
The meeting dates are usually set by the host (Steve68) around the time of the meeting the month before. As soon as we have a date set it will be posted on the home page!
Please make sure to vote each of the currently open polls. I see that the by laws change vote is lagging the rest of the elections as are some of our DaL elections.
Thanks!
It was a couple of pages back but I've added the info to the first post in the thread.

The 2006 elections are now in progress.
As per our by-laws we need a quorum on the election, even though the candidate is running unopposed. Please vote either for the candidate or abstain in order to be counted towards quorum.
The poll will be open to all NJRC members for 2 weeks, ending...
Rich is planning on doing such a demo at his meeting but if we're going to have Dr. Mac there then we'll probably reschedule the acrylic demo. I think it would be one too many lime light to the meeting. A discussion for the Member's area of the site.
Caps and digitatas seem to be the most forgiving of the SPS. Getting something captive bred is better for you at this point than wild caught colonies as the wild caught are usually less forgiving. Frags are good to start with because then you don't have as much invested if the coral goes south...
