Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input.
Yeah I got the enchinats and alien eye from Dace on MR, good guy. Pretty low light I tried it out in the open and it was blah. In the shade it is pretty sweet.
Thanks for all the complements, I had planned on updating but had a ballest...
Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input.
Good frags = good coral ;D....I had to move the trumpet, got in a fight with some palys, now it is super happy. Cannot get a good pic under actinics too wildly bright.
Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input.
Busy life got my knee fixed, group buy, holidays.
Very happy with the tank. Buying anything new is well complicated now.
My two gobbies both decided to carpet surf. :'(
My bi-color pseudocromis just disappeared, hope the RBTA ate him lil...
I am with you Dave, I work on keeping the tank clean...dose two parts and bit of iodine that is it. I do the iodine just to keep the cheato going and for the shrimp.
I would do
Actinic Geisemann great color
Actinic White UVL good color decent par
Blue Plus great blue and par
Aquasun. great par and growth.
If you like a lot of blue then add two blue plus and not Actinic White so your first choice.
Congrats ...mine split and stayed right next to each other in the back. I figure if the clone ever decides to move I can try to move him out but if happy where it is so be it.
Tiger tail is one of the standard ones. You don't want a filter feeding sea cucumber. There are a whole variety of them...see what one of our sponsors like Reef to Reptials,OGII, or AO has they are fairly cheap.
Side of the tank stuff I think everyone gets some....cleaner the water the less times per week you have to clean it.
Hair algae is another story, I luckily don't have that one. I know a sea hare will mow it down...snail wise mexican turbo think will eat it....sure others will chime in.
You are the Snail Queen. ;D
Let us know what kind of algae you have that is a good point.
I think the sea cucumbers are great....just wanted you to know the risk before getting one.
Though I sort of think it falls into the urban myth category.
CUC= clean up crew
Yeah I would add some snails ....1 strombus or fighting conch would work....yes queen would be huge.
cucumber 1 would also be OK....just know that if severely stressed they can more or less turn themselves inside out and wipe out your tank. Just read before you get one OK, I...
