Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
damn, I would of never expected it to come from a sicce pump, usually built well. I haven't been able to examine the pump on our calcium reactors but can you get another sicce pump to replace it? I would also contact Seapora warranty or Big Al's to see what they can do.
atleast you caught it...
test for stray, regardless if you feel a shock or not. I routinely check for stray voltage since I had a brand new finnex tianium heater destroy colonies just like how you're describing and it took me awhile to figure it out. I didn't feel any shocks either. doesn't hurt to test for it.
I think you're better off grabbing a pair of these
LED Grow Light Hydroponic Full Spectrum Veg Flower Flood Indoor Plant Lamp Panel | eBay
the ones you got, do not seemseem powe enough for the scrubber.
Thanks guys, not too worried. few dips or a whole tank treatment should take care of them. hopefully when they get taken care of, the acros will grow even better.
haha, I mean without surprises like these the hobby would be boring! lol /s
but i'm just glad I caught it before it was in my upcoming display tank. really gonna be meticulous when it comes to putting things in that tank once its running. I've order Dr. G's coral dip since it uses the same...
WELP, seems like I have red bugs in the frag tank. I've been having a few issues with certain types of corals ever since I lost my Chips Acro, one of my frags weren't doing so hot and polyp extension has reduced. decided to dip it to rule out and pest but lo and behold, little red specs fell off...
damn, sorry to hear that Mike! I never encountered that. hoping all your corals get back on track. feel terrible since I feel like I partially influenced you to switching to a cal reactor. hopefully everything gets back on track.
Nice! surprised it took awhile to encrust, my other colony pretty much encruted the eggcrate and more that i can't place frags near it lol. need to cut those up.
I understand but the 150s would help with the spread. like I said LPS and softies will not be an issue for him to keep healthy and alive. SPS on the other hand, yeah I agree those lights aren't enough.
I would however, advise on looking into his husbandry methods first and get an ICP test done
